AI is changing how teams investigate incidents, detect threats, automate workflows, and build intelligent applications. When combined with operational data in Splunk, AI can help teams monitor systems smarter, detect issues faster, and unlock new ways to build.

That is the idea behind the Splunk Agentic Ops Hackathon.

We are inviting developers, security practitioners, IT and network engineers, and AI-forward builders to create innovative solutions that combine AI with the power of Splunk.

With $20,000 in total prizes, participants will compete to build impactful solutions across Observability, Security, and Platform use cases.

What You’ll Build

During the hackathon, participants will create projects across three core tracks:

Observability
Build AI-powered solutions that help teams monitor systems, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and improve application or infrastructure reliability.

Security
Create intelligent workflows that help teams detect, investigate, and respond to threats faster.

Platform
Build next-generation developers and platform experiences that make it easier to create, extend, and automate with Splunk.

Whether you are building an AI-powered incident investigation assistant, an intelligent security workflow, or a developer productivity tool for Splunk apps, this hackathon is your opportunity to experiment, innovate, and showcase what is possible when AI meets operational data.

Splunk AI Capabilities You Can Use

Participants are encouraged to leverage one or more of the latest Splunk AI capabilities, including:

  • AI for Splunk Apps to build agentic workflows inside Splunk apps using the Python SDK
  • Splunk MCP Server to connect AI agents securely to Splunk data using the Model Context Protocol
  • Splunk Hosted Models to use models such as the Foundation AI Security Model and Cisco Deep Time Series Model

Who Should Join?

This hackathon is open to developers, security engineers, IT and network engineers, observability practitioners, platform engineers, Splunk app developers, students, hobbyist builders, and anyone excited about building with AI and Splunk.

You do not need to have a fully formed idea before registering. If you are curious about AI, operational data, and what is possible with Splunk, this is a great place to start.

Register Today

The Splunk Agentic Ops Hackathon is your chance to build with the latest Splunk AI capabilities, showcase your work, and compete for a share of $20,000 in prizes.
