Dear DataFlare,

Would you let me know how your license policy of commercial edition is defined? Per search head?

Thank you.

Thanks for the request! Yes, the price is per instance(standalone, search head, etc). It is entirely a user interface app, so in a distributed deployment you would license it for the search head(s) only, but if you have more than one search head and you only want to license one for DataFlare that will work as well, just direct your DataFlare users to that search head. Hope this helps, thanks again!

The licensing model is based on data usage. Basically, you buy a license that is up to a certain amount based on your data consumption. You can configure your indexers anyway you wish and have as many as you want as long as you stay within your consumption license limit. So if you have 20GB of data you would get a 50GB license. You promote one server to be a master and all others a slave to the licensing server.

Sorry for ambiguous question. My question is about the DataFlare app, (not Splunk license).
During the installation process of DataFlare app, the price was displayed as around $1,000 per server. I just wanted to check it.
