I am trying to rebuild a search page using the new Splunk web framwork. I am using searchbar and searchcontrols which work great.

I want to know if it is possible to get typeahead in the searchbar control? I dont see it as an option but maybe it wouldn't be that difficult to add it using the splunkjs libraries?

For reference here is the SearchBar page:

That's a great question - unfortunately, we don't support it at the moment (with Splunk 6.0.0). It's something that we're looking at adding in future versions.

That would be very nice to have this feature. It is useful to develop custom visualizations for dashboards but part of that is also being able to keep the adhoc and interactive searches that for advanced splunk customers are best navigated by using a search bar.
