How can i implement google maps in a dashboard?

Hi ,

I am just trying to display a map in a HTML dashboard as a panel. I have not installed google maps app , rather i am trying to through maps-api.Can some one help me with this?

Take a look at the simple XML example App from Splunk https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1603/
Within you will find a mapping dashboard which uses the Splunk build in map feature and also shows how to use an external map tile server using the option

<option name="mapping.tileLayer.url">http://{s}.tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png</option>
