Configuring Google Apps app

I don't understand these two steps:

  1. Locate the GoogleApps folder within your Splunk instance.
  2. Run the command: splunk cmd python $APP_HOME/bin/run_first.py On Windows, you must use an elevated command prompt to perform this.

The GoogleApps folder is located at C:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\GoogleApps

I'm not sure what directory to be in, when I run "splunk cmd python $APP_HOME/bin/run_first.py" - or am I supposed to modify $APP_HOME to "GoogleApps"?

This is my first time to do this ... Thanks for any help.

Did you ever figure out how to set this up? I am just now installing Splunk and the GoogleApps app and have the same question as you.
