Hi chimell, Thanks for replying. We are using Linux for Splunk with one search head and two indexer servers. On the search head, we have already defined the defaults indexes ( srchIndexesDefault = abc, abd .... etc. ) for searching events. When we click on "Search & Reporting app" it has to list the events indexed by referring the default indexes which we defined, but in my case, it only displays "waiting for data" and cannot search any data from the search head. Also I have noticed on search head navigating : Activity-->accesscontrol-->Roles--> Indexes searched by default: (there there are no indexes listed here) workaround : I have just restarted the splunk service in search head server and I am able to view the events and also indexes are listing in "Indexes searched by default".
