Hello, we have configured an HTTP Event Collector in a local installation and tested it with cURL to check some aspects in advance. For certain reasons we need to make sure that the HTTP response from Splunk is in XML format. As you can see on the pictures, I have two examples I took with Wireshark. Whether I run cURl with JSON or XML, the response from splunk comes back in JSON. Is it possible to configure HEC so that the body of the response is in XML format? Do you have an idea? 😉 ...
