Did some research with our SE, Nimish.
When the Time Zone is anything other than "Default System Timezone", you get some calculation of a different time.
when timezone = CT (-0600) span time starts 19:00
when timezone = Chennai (+0530) time starts @ 17:30
When timezone = ET (-0500) time starts @ 20:00
When timezone = Default System Timezone time starts @ 00:00
I have tried added earliest =-7d@d to try to force it to look at full days. Same results.

Events are based on ET -0500.
I am in CT -0600
It does not matter what time of day you run it.

Splunk Enterprise 6.5.2
Trying to get 12 hour span reporting Midnight to noon, noon to midnight.
A simplified version of my search is : index=_internal | bin _time span=12h | stats count by _time
For some reason, the intervals are calculating 19:00 to 07:00, 07:00 to 19:00

Just to be clear, can you configure more that 1 forwarder with the same config?
The way I read the documentation was that the JMS App pulled data from the event source.
If 2 ore more forwarders have the same config, then data would/could be duplicated.
HA is a requirement for my specific use case.

Is the JMS Messaging Modular Input Cluster aware?
In other words, can it be managed from the Deployer server and distributed to multiple search heads in a cluster ?
OR
Does this live on a standalone instance?
The basic question I am asking is, does this support HA / failover?

I know how to pull license usage by index per day over time. That is the easy part.
Once I have that, I want to show the peak single day usage per index.
I have a summary index that captures Date, idx, GB
Example:
11/1/17, A, 1
11/2/17, A, 3
11/3/17, A, 5
11/4/17, A, 7
11/5/17, A, 9
11/1/17,B, 12
11/2/17, B, 3
11/3/17, B, 6
11/4/17, B, 8

I am trying to build an input using DBConnect 2.0.4 on Splunk 6.2.3 clustered search heads.
I fill in all the blanks for Identity and Connections. I test the query and it returns results.
I can execute (dbxquery connection=GEIS_SN query="SELECT%20*%20FROM%20vw_Cloud_SN_INC" maxrows=100) and get back data.
When I schedule the job and tell it to write to one of my existing CLUSTERED indexes, the job completes successfully with zero rows indexed.
When I schedule the job and tell it to write to an existing LOCAL indexes, the job completes successfully and the data is available for searching.
How do I get it to write to my clustered indexes?
