Yes, once you are running a script then you can pretty much do anything. Is Splunk running on Windows or UNIX? I'll assume UNIX for now... There are several SNMP packages you can install which allows you to send an SNMP trap. You could also install something like Samba and create Windows messages directly from an alert if that would be better.
