Splunk certification requirements

Hi All,

Do I have to buy the recommended courses from Splunk education to appear for the Splunk Certified User, Splunk Certified Core User and Splunk Certified Admin exams ? Can I self study, register on Pearson Vue and take these above mentioned exams ?

As I understand for the Splunk certified Architect exam, I have to buy four courses from Splunk education to be eligible for the Splunk Certified Architect Examination.

You can take the exams prior to Architect without the courses.

To be pedantic, you must successfully complete the courses, not just buy them.
