On April 8, 2026, Splunk GovSummit returns to the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C., bringing together public sector technology leaders who are navigating one of the most complex threat landscapes in history. And, if you’re obsessed with building a more modern Security Operations Center (SOC), then the real action begins on April 7 with Splunk University.

Registration is open for Splunk GovSummit on April 8

From safeguarding national security and protecting critical systems to safely adopting AI and meeting strict compliance baselines, agencies today are balancing innovation with responsibility in real time. GovSummit is where those conversations get real — with deep  dives into reducing fraud, closing cybersecurity workforce gaps, managing federated data at scale, and building a SOC that’s ready for whatever comes next.

Step Into the SOC at Splunk University on April 7

The day before Splunk GovSummit officially kicks off, the real action begins. April 7 is your opportunity to move from theory to practice – working inside a modern SOC.

Enhancing SOC Operations with Attack Simulations is an instructor-led course where you’ll take on the role of a SOC analyst, detection engineer, or automation engineer and work through realistic attack scenarios. Leveraging Splunk SOAR or Adaptive Response in Enterprise Security, you’ll test detections, refine remediation strategies, and collaborate across SOC roles to strengthen investigative and incident response skills. It’s immersive, hands-on, and designed for beginner to intermediate practitioners ready to elevate their game.

Watch Alex, from Splunk Education, describe what you'll learn in class from our YouTube Shorts channel.
