Why doesn't the upload image feature of answers work?

I tried to answer another user's question with an image that showed where in the interface to click. However, the upload an image feature of splunk answers simply failed to produce an attached image, giving instead a url to http://www.splunk.com/ which is certainly not an image.

How can I attach an image to my questions or answers on this site?

Please try it again. You should be able to upload an image just fine now.

Just tested and hit the same problem. Had to use a direct link. When I used the upload image it inserted a link to splunk-base.com instead.
