Which Splunk Db version should match with Db servers?

I have a Splunk app db connect running on version 3.4.2 so is it important to run those exsisting databases on that version ?

You should check that  Splunk + Splunk DB Connect + JDK + JDBC drivers and DB backends are compatible. Just look those from Splunk DB Connect documentations.

3.4.2 is quite old and you should update it more recent versions or later that update will be more harder than now. Earliest version what you could load from splunkbase is 3.9.0 and latest is 3.13.0.
