Hi all.

I have a crashlog in my slpunk.(4.3)
Recently, my splunk server has shutdown very often.

Below is a part of crashlog.

Received fatal signal 6...
......
Crashing thread: HTTPDispatch
......
Terminate called after...
What() : HTTPDispatch : about to throw a Treadexception : pthread_create : Resource temporarily unavailable;42 threads active.
......

terminating...

What is a HTTPDispatch?
What's mean "Resource temporarily unavailable;42 threads active." ?

Hi joy76,

you probably have a too low ulimit setting and the Splunk internal web server was unable to spawn a new thread. Read this docs about ulimit errors.
