Splunk translation not applied correctly

Hi,

I am working to translate Splunk in French using poedit. Some messages are translated in the messages.po and messages.mo but are displayed in english after Splunk restart.

Do you know issues about internationalisation?

Maybe it's a cache problem. I tried to empty my browser cache but it doesn't work.

Do you have an idea about this problem?

• Language directly is not ja-JP (hyphen) but ja_JP (underscore), this was not mentioned in the doc..

When you began the translation process, did you start with the messages.pot file in the Splunk Python hierarchy, or did you use the 'splunk extract i18n -app ...' function?
