Remove splunk server from splunk search

I have about 15 network devices I have sending to splunk perfectly. But the splunk server is also showing up there, and it generates about 700,000 sourcetype=audittrail events every day. Does anyone know how to remove the splunk server itself from the search results?

Hi. Thanks for the email. That works to review the audittrail alerts which arent from the splunk server. But do you have any ideas if you wanted to completely remove all splunk server data from splunk? I don't really care to monitor the status of my splunk server, and would rather only have network devices show up as hosts. Thanks again!

Have you tried:

index=_audit sourcetype=audittrail NOT host=your_server_host_name
