Hi,
when I try to connect to sql server with dbconnect, i get this exception:
In handler 'dbx-databases': Unknown error while validating database connection

Can someone help how to fix this?

The issue is:
in dbx/local/java.conf

i gave /usr/bin/ as java path.

Somewhere the process is adding bin i.e. the commandline is /usr/bin/bin/java instead of /usr/bin/java.

i changed java.conf to /usr/ and it started working.

the issue is found in jbridge.log

Thank You

Without the java bridge running it won't work. Go to settings -> Configure DB Connect and make sure the java installation path is correct. If that doesn't help take a look into jbridge.log to find out why it's not starting.

no, java bridge is not running. I don't see dbx.log in my deployment.
I am looking at this doc: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/DBX/latest/

is there any other doc that I can follow?

is the java bridge running? Are there any error messages in dbx.log? You can look for errors using the built-in saved search "Recent DB Connect errors" in the Searches dropdown in the app.
