Custom Time Range Picker with Customer attributes

Given the answer to this question:
https answers.splunk.com/answers/58329/custom-time-range-picker-first-quater.html
I know that I can customise the name and range of a custom time range picker.

However, my requirement is a little more dynamic than requiring a "Quarter" etc. where I need to specify a different date each year that I can store in a lookup table.

Is it possible to reference a lookup table value, or the result of a lookup table in the "earliest" and "latest" field of times.conf?

The use case could be Academic Semesters or even locale specific Financial Calendars etc.
