splunk setup problem

whenever i try to open splunk it redirect me to another web page but that webpage is nothing other but a local host not the splunk enterprises page where we have to login what to do on this can anyone tell

I'm with livehybrid.  A little more information will be helpful in allowing us to help you.  

If you are on the cloud, or if you are on premise will definitely change the way we approach this problem.  If it is local, do you have a proxy like nginx in front of it?  With a local instance, we will need to know if you have anything in front of that box that could be causing the redirect.  Generally speaking (bugs are real and thus I speak in generalities) splunk doesn't do much redirecting, so I would assume it is another tool on the network between you and the splunk instance that is causing the problem.  But that is just a guess without more info and / or screenshots.

When Splunk Web redirects you to localhost instead of the login page, it usually points to a misconfiguration in how Splunk Web is bound to network interfaces or how you’re accessing it.

If web.conf is misconfigured, Splunk may default to localhost. You may check the web.conf in your splunk instance.

The description of your problem is so vague that the only answer you can get at this point is "something is wrong". We have no idea what your setup is, what exactly are you trying to do, what is the exact result... Way, way too little information to work with here.
