Change the Java home setting in DB Connect and/or correct the $JAVA_HOME environment variable.

hi @richgalloway

I did change the java setting and corrected the the JAVA home env but no luck. Is there a file where Splunk is storing this info.

Thanks

Did you restart Splunk after changing $JAVA_HOME?

The info is stored in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/splunk_app_db_connect/local/dbx_settings.conf,  See https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/DBX/3.18.0/DeployDBX/settingsconfspec for a description of the contents.

@richgalloway

I checked the dbx_settings.conf file and I see the right java path in the file but I am still seeing the same error.

I have tried reinstalling the dbconnect app with no luck.

also tried searching for the string "/bin/bin" in the splunk db_connect app path with no luck showing the string in any file.

Have you tried removing '/bin' from JAVA_HOME and the config file?

The /bin is not in the JAVA_HOME nor the config file which made the problem more perplexing.

after uninstalling/reinstalling and trying everything I could I now have a new problem... The new error is now
