Splunk Upgrade to 9.0.4.1: Failed to run splunkd rest

I am trying to upgrade my splunk version to 9.0.4.1, but am running into the following error when running ./splunk start:

An error occurred: Failed to run splunkd rest:
stdout:
--
stderr:
--

Has anyone else run into this problem?
