Splunk Analysis Workspace not visible by default

The "splunk_analysis_workspace/default/app.conf" file is misconfigured:

[ui]
is_visible = 0

Once I made the app visible, I felt the powah! 😛

Hey lukeh,

Good catch, this actually isn't a mis-configuration (the app is meant to be invisible from a config standpoint), but actually unclear directions for getting started. 🙂

The Splunk Analysis Workspace app is actually embedded as the "Metrics" tab within the Search and Reporting application. Here is more information in the documentation on where to find it: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/AWE/beta/Use/Navigate

In the meantime, we are going to update our splunkbase listing and make some small tweaks to our documentation to make it more clear where to find it once it is installed.

Thanks for reaching out with this. hopefully we can spare some future users some confusion!
