Can Splunk webhook resume alert data transportation after webhook receiver is recovered?

We setup a webhook in Splunk Enterprise to send search result to webhook receiver periodically. Our question is:
1, when the receiver crashes and cannot receive data, can Splunk detect the disconnection and save unsent data in local until receiver is recovered?
2, If yes, when the webhook receiver is recovered, can Splunk resume data transportation automatically? Or it needs manual trigger?
