exclude a column from a timechart table

Hi at all,
I have a search that extract a time distribution by tag::eventtype:

index=my_index | timechart count by tag:: eventtype

e.g.

_time tag1 tag2 tag3
2017-05-28 4 3 5
2017-05-29 2 6 4
2017-05-30 4 5 2

Events can have more than one tag:: eventtype and this is the problem, because I'd like to exclude one column (e.g. tag3) from results without exclude results from other tag:: eventtype.
In other words if I put in my search tag:: eventtype!=tag1 results in tag1 are different because events that have both tag1 and tag3 are excluded.

Is it possible to exclude these events without modify other results?

Thank you in advance.

Bye.

Giuseppe

Do you know the tag you want to exclude? If so, why cant you add | fields - tag3 after the timechart?
