default.old.- directory?

clymbouris
Path Finder

I've noticed that when we change or install new apps we're sometimes left with a new default directory that also shows under splunk web under apps. The name is autogenerated and looks like "default.old.20121120-143954"

Is there something we're doing wrong? We mostly install apps through Splunk web.

Many thanks

Costas

It looks like a backup before upgrade. Is it after an app upgrade or a splunk upgrade ?

Which apps are having those folders ?

It's an app upgrade.. I can't figure out which app it is as it sits under /etc/apps/default.old.* along with /etc/apps/default
