Splunk SDK License

Hi,
If we're using Splunk SDK and developing our application, what are the licensing requirements for that.
1. How do we check how much we have consumed out of our 500MB and any violations - do we have to go to splunk UI and check?
2. For developing apps using Java SDK , are there any other licensing requirements that we need to be aware of.

The Java SDK is open source and uses the Apache v2.0 license.

When not using the Splunk UI , you can instead execute a search via the Java SDK that returns license audit/usage metrics.

Have a look at the metrics here , and extend the search string to your specific requirements.

index=_internal source=*license_usage.log

index=_internal source=*license_audit.log
