How to create appserver directory?

Hello all,

I have created a Splunk app and I want to use some javascripts and css files for it. As I have learnt, they have to be pasted in the appserver directory of the app. But the appserver folder is not created when I created the app. Will it be automatically created or should I create it manually? Please help.

Thanks in advance.

It is OK to create the folder if it doesn't exists. How did you create your app? Here is a link to all folders and content for each, that you may have already seen

I created the app in a simple way. Click splunk in the left top corner, then click the settings button near the Apps. Then click the new app and then created it. But the appserver has not been created once the new app is created ? Is this the conventional way to create an app or there is some other way to create an app?
