Connect to PostgreSQL Database

Hi,

is there a way to get data from a PostgreSQL database via a Splunk search?
I found for MySQL a connector, but what is with PostreSQL?

I think I can realize it via a scripted input, but can someone give me an example for a script for getting content from a database into my Splunk environment?

Thanks

Regards
Frank

I recently uploaded an extension that allows you to integrate SQL database content (from PostgreSQL among others) easily with Splunk.

See here for more details: http://splunk-base.splunk.com/apps/50803/dbx-sql-database-extension

(it's commercial, though)
