Cannot communicate with task server- Splunk DBconnect 3.1.4

I upgraded the DBconnect app from 3.1.3 to 3.1.4 and got the following message:
"Cannot communicate with task server, please check your settings."

I have not changed any JVM path. The app was working fine until i upgraded to the latest version. I have tried restarting the splunk server but of no effect.

Any suggestions here?

Hi, I also got same issue, Make sure http_input app directory is present under $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps directory. For me somehow, it got deleted due to which I was facing "Cannot communicate with task server, please check your settings." issue in DB-Connect App.
Please note, DB-Connect internally used http-input to make connection and data forwarding.

Let me check that, if not present do I just create a folder with name http_input?
