not able to connect to splunk cloud from splunk universal forwarder

Getting below error.

ERROR TcpOutputProc - Processing server from outputs.conf: can't resolve a valid IP address for host="input-prd-p-nldx9rxpdgsl.cloud.splunk.com"

I am trying to connect to a splunk free trial account.
I have universal forwarder credentials installed in my local.
I have issued below command to connect to splunk given trail
splunk add forward-server input-prd-p-nldx9rxpdgsl.cloud.splunk.com:8089
