Visibility Challenges with Infrequent SignalFx Metrics

I'm using SignalFx to monitor a specific metric that is triggered by a particular action in our system. This action occurs infrequently—approximately once every hour or longer. However, I’m unable to see the corresponding data points reflected in the SignalFx dashboard.
In contrast, I have another metric—using the same metric name but differentiated by dimensions—that tracks a more frequent event (every 1–2 minutes), and its data points are consistently visible in the dashboard.
Could the infrequent nature of the first metric’s data points be the reason they’re not appearing in the visualization?

Hi @nohadarwish

Are you able to confirm the time period in which the dashboard is displaying is wide enough to capture the event you are expecting?

Can you see the metric coming in via the Metric Finder?
