Splunk MCP integration with Gemini

Hi all,

Curious to know if anyone has successfully integrated Splunk MCP with Gemini?

I have setup and configured the Splunk MCP server and I get successful responses when hitting my Splunk MCP endpoint from command line. However, there does not seem to be out of the box support for Gemini whereby I can configure the Splunk MCP server/details. I see some docs and forums online which suggest that ChatGPT and Claude are easy to integrate with. I've also seen the Splunk MCP video with Claude integration steps. Has anyone successfully integrated with Gemini?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

This sounds like more of a Gemini question than a Splunk question, as the Splunk MCP server should work using the same MCP .json configuration and any arbitrary MCP Client that accepts the configuration.

E.g. here is a project to interface with Gemini, and it uses the mcp.json configuration file schema. I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work: https://gemini-cli.xyz/docs/en/tools/mcp-server
