Varnish and NGINX together

I'd like to know, if I have multiple applications inside one server. Such as Varnish and NGINX, can AppDynamics detect my both application together ?

Hi Stephen,

As far as I know, it will not be detected OTB, but you can check appdynamics extension which can help you monitor nginx and varnish.

Thank you Abhimanyu,

I know AppDynamics can install an extension for monitoring Nginx and Varnish but I'm so scare about word "This extension works only with the standalone machine agent".
In case that I install 2 extensions Varnish and Nginx, does multiple extensions will make a problem with my server or not ?
Is it possible to confirm this case please ?

Hi Stephen,

I have confirmed this with the extensions team and there is no issue installing these two extensions together however you will have to install the standalone machine agent along with it.

"the standalone machine agent" is mean AppDynamics agent, am I correct ?
Can I try on my server with AppDynamics's trial version ?
