Dear AppDynamics community,

We are looking for ways to upload source maps in order to see full stacktraces for errors and crashes in our React Native mobile apps.

Please let us know if there is a way to do so?

For reference, here is how its done in other solutions/services:

Thanks in advance!

also, you provided me a screenshot of the example on the docs.

Can you confirm that you know for SURE that this works?

Thank you for your reply.
I checked internally about the issue, and this is currently under investigation by the engineering team as a possible bug.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you please follow up with the person you checked with about the update from the engineering team?

Best Regards,
Hiroki

hi @Hiroki.Ito, the documentation here says source maps upload feature is supported: JavaScript Errors Dashboard (appdynamics.com) .

How can we use it though? We are using latest version of adrum + latest version of controller, but the buttons to upload of the sourcemap still not showing on the UI.

Hello @Everton.Arakaki ,

The source map upload button is only enabled when there is some stack frame available for the Javascript error.
Could you please confirm if you can see the stack frame for your error?

Please check if there are any Javascript Error with stack frame and if the button is available for those errors.

I have triggered exceptions on the app and confirm that the app was throwing exceptions but on the appdynamics side, there is still no option to upload it.

someone from appdynamics CONFIMED that there is a DEFECT on the product. Can you double check? We hundred of appd users and no one was able to use this feature. its seems to work only on the docs.

Hi @Elvin.Rakhmankulov ,

Thank you for posting to the community.
Unfortunately, source maps are not supported, so you cannot upload them.

There is an existing Idea Exchange post related to source maps.

If it matches what you try to do, please vote and comment on the idea to show your support.
If not, please create your own Idea Exchange post.

Note: The Idea Exchange is a place where customers can submit, vote, and engage with ideas to improve their AppD experience.

Best Regards,
Hiroki
