Health rule widget: Health rule status not reflecting on dashboard

Hi Team,

I have used the health rule status widget to display the status on the dashboard,but the health rule status is not getting updated on the dashboard.

For e.g:- My health rule status is green, but still, in the dashboard, I am observing yellow(warning status). Please refer to the snapshot for the same.

Snapshot 1: Dashboard status + error count

Snapshot 2: Health rule evaluation status (Time range last 15 min)

Heath rule: if the error per min is greater than 0 for a particular transaction status should be a warning if it's greater than 1, the status should be critical.

Hi Manasi,

When a Health rule violation is detected (Normal to Warning or Normal to Critical) the status light is updated within 1 minute. But when a health rule violation is ended (Warning to Normal or Critical to Normal) the status light is updated after 3-5 minutes, even if you do a manual refresh on the page. Status light does not show status based on health rule evaluation time. This is the current behavior but we have already filed an enhancement request to update the status light widget on the basis of the last 1-minute data but there is no ETA as of now.

Note- Status light Widget shows the worst health rule violation status in the last x minute which you have selected in the dashboard time range.

Hi Manasi,

As per our understanding, you are seeing the status as violated in the dashboard widget, but on the controller UI the health status is not violated. Please let us know if there is any disconnect.

Could you please confirm if you are seeing the dashboard as well as health status on UI for the same time range?

Was this HR violating earlier? If yes, it takes few minutes to update the status on the dashboard widget. Please wait for 2-3 minutes and check if the status changes after that.

  --> Yes, HR is violating earlier. Is there any way to show real-time status on the dashboard? What is the exact time range before the dashboard is updated.(Note Dashboard refresh time 60 sec)
