Hi,

I'm looking for a way to configure a Health Rule, which can trigger an alert based on the value of a particular JMX metric over a period of time.

For example, if JMX metric A exceeds a value of 10 for more than 5 minutes. raise an alert.

Is this possible? I cant seem to see an obvious way to configure it.

Many Thanks

Hi Simon,

Is the metric already available in the metric browser?

If so, then you can do so by configuring a new health rule by following the instructions on the link below.

https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO44/JMX+Health+Rules

Thanks,

Gurmit.
