authentication error

hi,
yesterday i downloaded your app and install it on my pc desktop, after the registration procedure at the first startup of the app i pressed "First time signing in?" in order to login.

This morning im not able to login to my account despite im able to login into the web site:
http://www.splunk.com/?redirecturl=/

Could you help me ?

Yes i`m talking about local installed Splunk instance.
I try to use the default username and passordw but the authentication fail....

Thanks for your link.
Im using a windows version but i perfomed the same procedure with passwd file stored into C:\Program Files\Splunk\etc
and after a reboot now i
m able to Login with default user and password.
What i should do in order to login with a user a pw selected from me?

Are you talking about logging into the locally installed Splunk instance? In that case, you could try with the default username/password, which is admin/changeme

This authentication is in no way related to your account at splunk.com or Splunk Answers.
