Why am I unable to log in to Splunk Enterprise?

Hi,

I've just installed Splunk Enterprise and when I try to log in for the first time by clicking on 'Launch browser with Splunk Enterprise' button, I get the following message on the address 'http://localhost:8000/': HTTP 404 Not Found.

How may I solve the problem?

Thanks

Hi Dolley87,
did you installed Splunk Enterprise on your machine?
if yes try using http://your_machine:8000

If you installed on another server, use http://your_splunk_server:8000

Bye.

Solved. The problem was the port: instead of 8000, I had to put 8001. I saw it by launching splunk from cmd.

Thanks!

Hi cusello,

I've installed the free trial program in local host on my machine. I followed the training on the site. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks
Andrea
