Why am I unable to log in to Splunk Enterprise?

Hi,

I've just installed Splunk Enterprise and when I try to log in for the first time by clicking on 'Launch browser with Splunk Enterprise' button, I get the following message on the address 'http://localhost:8000/': HTTP 404 Not Found.

How may I solve the problem?

Hi Dolley87,
did you installed Splunk Enterprise on your machine?
if yes try using http://your_machine:8000

If you installed on another server, use http://your_splunk_server:8000

Solved. The problem was the port: instead of 8000, I had to put 8001. I saw it by launching splunk from cmd.

nothing wrong,
to know the exac Splunk url, launch Splunk via CLI, at the end of boot messages URL is showed.

I've installed the free trial program in local host on my machine. I followed the training on the site. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
