Roles Management v.e.r.y...s.l.o.w...

Any idea what's up with the Roles management dashboard? It takes 30-40 sec to load the Edit Role/New Role page on an otherwise very fast Splunsk system that all other pages load in sub-second times. It's faster searching through hundreds of GB of logs then to load the Role pages
Fix coming?

Thanks

I will also add to this thread - I've been having a similar issue for quite some time now, and it's getting worse as time goes by. I'm on Splunk 6.2

Did you ever find a fix for this? I am currently experiencing the same problem. Had it in version 5.0.7 and still in 6.1.3. I'm thinking it has something to do with it having to query the indexers to find out what indexes are available, but still shouldn't take this long.

It took 1 min and 23 seconds to open a role for me.

version 5.0.1, build 143156

yep, thanks for confirming.
This is still terrible = 70 sec on a 12 way box that's not doing much at this time (on same version 5.0.1, build 143156)

5.0.
The splunkd.log doesn't show anything related to this
Everything else works just fine.
Tried 3 browsers - same behaviour for all
When I click on the Role link I see a second splunkd.exe starting - using about 8% CPU on a 12core 64bit box

What version are you running? Have you checked splunkd.log for errors?
