Restore a recently deleted user

I have recently deleted an user. I should not have done that....

Can I restore it?

If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it greatly.

Have you try to create it again? What kind of environment you have? Single node or distributed environment and have you a local users or from external directory?

I created it again. I was worried about the dashboards, reports, lookups etc that were created by this user.
