Index cluster master -general setup configuration

Hi All ,

When we go to the index cluster master UI->Settings-> general setup tab we can view the whole infra of the splunk i.e instance(host), instance(server name) , server roles etc.., The problem we have is the configuration management tool overwrites the server roles of all the instances which causes the issue .
Could you please guide me where can i find the configuration file which gets picked up for the general setup tab so that we can exclude that particular file from the configuration management tool to over ride it and messes up the server roles .

Thanks & Regards

When you run the DMC on the cluster master on Monitoring Console Setting. When you make changes there, all of them goes to: distsearch.conf ,Find more information here: https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.0.1/Admin/Distsearchconf
