How to fix error setting up java environment for the dbx?

Hi,

I put the path to java environment (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_45) for splunk db connect for Splunk Enterprise (local use, not distributed), but I get the following error:
Encountered the following error while trying to update: In handler 'localapps': Error while posting to url=/servicesNS/nobody/dbx/dbx/install/java

Any suggestion since I am relatively new to Splunk?

Thanks,
Skender

If the machine is at all underpowered or has any latency, you could be running into a known issue with Windows and REST APIs that causes setup tasks to timeout. SPL-86716 is the reference to check if you open a ticket. If Linux is an option, that should work better.
