How do I add customized documentation to the Help menu?

I'm using version 6.5.0. I'd like to add customized documentation to the Help menu in the upper right hand corner. I'm not finding where that drop-down list exists in order to figure out how to edit it.

I'm assuming that the easiest way to provide this documentation would be to edit that menu with a link out to a document repository like SharePoint. Alternatively, is there a place within Splunk where I could upload a document that our users could then access?

Thank you!

There is no supported way to edit the menu. The file that contains its contents is:

$SPLUNK_HOME/share/splunk/search_mrsparkle/exposed/js/views/shared/splunkbar/help/MenuContents.html

Note that any changes you make to that file could have unanticipated effects and will be overwritten with any upgrade. It is not intended for customers to modify.

Thank you for the quick reply, and for the warning! I'll be sure to take precautions to preserve the original and any changes that are made now!
