Enable Remote web console

Hi All,
I've installed splunk.deb (4.2 Free version) and try to enable the remote console login by editing the "$SPLUNK_HOME/etc/local/server.conf" file but i get the error "nofile found". I cant find this folder in the "/opt/splunk" folder also. Kindly guide me in fixing this, Thank you in advance.

Hello all, atlast I found the file in "c:/programfiles/splunk/etc/system/local/server.conf" in windows, but there is no comment line "allowRemoteLogin" to change it to always. someone please help me on this.....
