I started to hear that people in government related business are looking for TSL 1.2 support for SSL. I know many software does not support it yet. For example, Firefox 3.6 does not support it. How about splunk 4.1.5?

No, Splunk 4.1 does not support TLS 1.2 for SSL.

Splunk uses openssl for SSL session. Unfortunately, as of now, openssl dose not support TLS 1.2 yet. As soon as openssl starts to support it, we're also ready.
