I would like to know if it is mandatory for the Splunk server be a domain member server (joined domain) in order to use AD for LDAP authentication for Splunk Web?

i.e. Can I use AD LDAP authentication on a non domain server?

Thanks.

Yes you can use AD LDAP authentication on a non domain server. The AD bind account that you set up will be the account that connects to your AD to authenticate users.
