I am looking for a tutorial for splunking a binary data long file on Windows

I used the Microsoft LogParser in the past for iterating over a proprietary binary log file that can be several Giga bytes big. I have a COM object that can read the log file. I would like to find some step-by-step instructions on how to migrate to splunk.
