What does reducing escalation mean exactly ? , and in what measure Splunk makes this possible for telco ?

Well, escalations are support calls or other incidents that are expensive. You can use software like Splunk to monitor your infrastructure in a variety of ways and send you alerts when things begin to go wrong. You find the problems earlier, so you don't have as many escalations and it costs less to fix the issues. If you do an internet search for reduce escalations you will find a number of articles that explain this concept.

i am making a study about the benefits of using Splunk in telecoms companies , and i have come across a document in which Vodafone confirms that : “Splunk reduced our escalations by 90% " . i want to understand what does this mean. Thanks 🙂
