Any pros/cons between AMD vs Intel processors with Splunk?

We are in the process of selecting hardware for Splunk and wanted to know if there are any benefits etc. between AMD and Intel processors.

As per Engineering:

There should be no significant difference between AMD and Intel.

Did not find recommendation to consider thread instead of core in attached doc, it's recommended to use core in calculation.

If an Intel machine has 16 cores with hyperthreading enabled, will Splunk be limited to 1 search per core or one search per thread?
